This is an 8-hour training program designed for both new and previously trained employees and addresses both the Connecticut State and Federal hazardous waste regulations applicable to generators. It is specifically designed to instruct employees in the requirements as they pertain to generating and accumulating hazardous waste in a given state and, therefore, integrates state-specific requirements.
Employees who require this training would include those who have a role in handling or otherwise managing hazardous wastes. Those employees may have any or all of the following responsibilities: characterizing wastes, labeling containers, adding waste to containers, maintaining containers in satellite or main accumulation areas, recordkeeping and reporting, reviewing or completing hazardous waste manifests, or oversight of any of the aforementioned activities.
