Hazardous Waste (RCRA) Training for Florida Generators
This is a 1-day training program designed for both new and previously-trained employees and addresses both the state and federal hazardous waste regulations applicable to generators. It is specifically designed to instruct employees in the requirements as they pertain to generating and accumulating hazardous waste in Florida and therefore integrates the FL-specific Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) requirements of FAC Chapter 62-730.
Hazardous waste training is required for small and large quantity generators in Florida (large quantity generators must be trained annually).

Employees who require this training would include those who have a role in handling or otherwise managing hazardous wastes.
Those employees may have any or all of the following responsibilities: characterizing wastes, labeling containers, adding waste to containers, maintaining containers in satellite or central accumulation areas, recordkeeping and reporting, reviewing or completing hazardous waste manifests and land disposal restriction forms, or oversight of any of the aforementioned activities.
